Pickleball Clubs in Maine

Maine’s indoor clubs cluster in the southern part of the state, from York up through Brunswick. North and east of Bangor, play runs mostly through town recreation departments.

Pickleball Leagues in Maine

Here is the honest picture: Maine has one true competitive league. Nearly everything else is town recreation drop-in play — which is genuinely good and often inexpensive, but it is not league play, so we have labelled it accordingly.

Competitive league

  • Pinetree Pickleball Leagues — Greater Bangor, with venues in Bangor, Brewer, Veazie, Hampden, Orland and at UMaine. Singles and doubles, players matched at their own level, and a flexible format that gives you a week to play each match. Seasons start in April.

Town recreation drop-in play

  • Brunswick Parks & Recreation — indoor gym play plus 8 dedicated outdoor courts at the MARC, dawn to dusk. Beginner through advanced, with lessons and youth sessions.
  • Waterhouse Center — Kennebunk. Season passes, punch cards and single-day passes, with separate adult and teen sessions.
  • South Portland Parks & Recreation — indoor sessions at two community centers, with a discount for active military and veterans.
  • Lewiston Recreation — year-round indoor and outdoor play, including dedicated beginner sessions.
