About the program
UMass Lowell has an active pickleball scene run jointly by a student club and Campus Recreation in the Merrimack Valley. Organized play started as summer-2022 drop-in games and grew into Sunday and Wednesday sessions plus fundraising tournaments.
Club history & highlights
- Campus drop-in play began summer 2022, launched by registrar Mai Nguyen (uml.edu)
- Runs the annual Homecoming Slam (next Oct 16-17, 2026) and a Rowdy Rumble tournament (uml.edu)
Practice & courts
Sunday morning (10 a.m.-noon) and Wednesday-night drop-in at the Campus Recreation Center (3 courts) and the Complex tennis courts (split into 8).
