Pickleball in Laconia, NH: New Indoor Hours, Two Summer Parks and 8 Courts Next Door

Laconia sits between Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam, and it plays like a lake town. Summer is outdoors, busy and social. After Labor Day the game moves indoors and the schedule changes. That makes it easy to show up at the wrong time, because much of the information online is a season or two old. This guide lists what the city itself publishes right now, where the older listings are wrong, and where to go when the city gym is full.

Where can you play pickleball in Laconia NH?

The City of Laconia’s own pickleball page is short and clear. It calls pickleball one of the city’s fastest-growing sports and names three places to play:

• Leavitt Park (summer, outdoors), 334 Elm Street
• Memorial Park (summer, outdoors), on the south end of the city
• Laconia Community Center (the rest of the year, indoors), 306 Union Avenue

All three are run by Laconia Parks and Recreation, which has its office in the Community Center building. The phone number is 603-524-5046. Two private options sit just over the city line: Club Piklbal in Belmont and Gilford Hills Tennis and Fitness Club in Gilford. Both are covered below.

What is the indoor pickleball schedule at the Laconia Community Center?

This is the most useful fact in this guide, and the one most sites have wrong. According to the city, the following schedule started on September 8, 2026:

• Morning sessions: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:45 to 11:45am
• Evening sessions: Mondays and Thursdays, 6:00 to 9:00pm
• Cost: $5 for Laconia residents, $6 for non-residents
• Format: drop-in only; the city says it is not offering lessons at this time
• Requirement: you must have completed a Laconia Parks and Recreation registration form

The evening sessions matter most. If you work days, the older Monday-to-Friday morning slot was no help to you. Two weeknight sessions give working players an indoor option through the winter. Register before your first visit, not at the door.

Why do other sites list different hours?

Search for Laconia pickleball and you will keep finding “Monday through Friday, 9 to 11am” for the Community Center. That line comes from the Lakes Region Pickleball site, a long-running volunteer resource for the area. Its footer says it was maintained from 2016 to 2023. It still lists two indoor courts at that time, and directory sites and search summaries have copied it.

The city’s page is newer and says something different. Mornings now run three days a week and start earlier, and two evening sessions have been added. The volunteer site is still useful for local history and contacts, but use the city’s page for hours. If you are planning a visit, call 603-524-5046 before you drive over, especially early in the season.

What are the outdoor courts like at Leavitt Park and Memorial Park?

Leavitt Park is a neighborhood park off Elm Street with soccer fields, basketball, a park house you can rent, and tennis and pickleball courts. The city’s park page lists pickleball by name. The Lakes Region Pickleball site describes two courts there shared between tennis and pickleball, first come, first served, with no sign-up. Directory listings also say two courts and free play.

Memorial Park is less clear, and this is worth knowing before you go:

• The city’s pickleball page names Memorial Park as a summer pickleball spot.
• The city’s own Memorial Park page lists baseball, softball and tennis courts, and does not mention pickleball.
• The Lakes Region Pickleball site says the Memorial Park courts are lined for pickleball and counts four. It describes a group that met daily in summer from about 8 to 11am, with a courtesy sign-up.
• Our own court directory lists five courts at 31 Lindsay Court.

We could not confirm the current court count from any official source, so we are not choosing between four and five. The safe reading is that Memorial Park has tennis courts lined for pickleball, and the city treats it as a summer pickleball location. If the court count matters to your group, ask Parks and Recreation.

Is there year-round indoor pickleball near Laconia?

Yes, just over the line in Belmont. Club Piklbal opened at the Belknap Marketplace, 96 Daniel Webster Highway, in early 2025. The Concord Monitor and the Laconia Daily Sun both covered the opening, and both called it the Lakes Region’s first indoor pickleball club. Their reports describe:

• A 23,000-square-foot building with eight indoor, temperature-controlled, fenced courts
• CushionX court surfaces, plus a pro shop, training area, lounge and wellness suite
• Memberships, court reservations and open play sorted by skill level

According to the club’s website, booking runs through the CourtReserve app, and you can register there as a member or a non-member. Members get priority. Non-members can book courts that members have not taken. The club’s current published prices include:

• CORE Single: $690 a year, or $68 a month with a 12-month commitment
• CORE Couple: $1,035 a year, or $105 a month with a 12-month commitment
• CORE perks: 14-day advance booking, free level-based open play, and private court rental at $2.50 per person per hour (based on four players)

The club lists PPR-certified instructors, which matters because Laconia’s city program is not offering lessons. Contact: 603-707-6164 or Play@ClubPiklbal.com.

Gilford Hills Tennis and Fitness Club (314 Old Lake Shore Road, Gilford, 603-293-7546) is the other nearby private option. Its own website describes four indoor hard courts and three outdoor clay courts, and says it sells tennis and pickleball equipment. Directory sites list three indoor pickleball courts there, but the club’s site does not give a pickleball court count, so call to ask about pickleball court time.

Tips for your first session in Laconia

• Do the paperwork early. The registration form is the one thing that can turn you away from the city session.
