This is the Upper Valley’s dedicated pickleball house — six courts, purpose-built, nothing shared with basketball or tennis. One honest heads-up: their website is still running on template placeholder text in the programs and events sections, and the footer lists a different contact email than the contact block does. That is not a knock on the club, it is a brand-new business that has not finished its site. It does mean you should call rather than trust anything you read online about their open-play schedule, including this page.
CCBA Witherell Recreation Center

- Courts: indoor, in the third-floor double gymnasium (floor refinished in August 2023)
- Access: members play unlimited when the gym is reserved for pickleball; non-members can buy a day pass at the welcome desk
- Schedule: courts are reserved every morning for pickleball, with hours posted weekly
The CCBA — the Carter Community Building Association — is the answer for anyone who does not want to join a club. It is also the most beginner-friendly option in the city: they run a beginner clinic and an intermediate clinic back to back in the late morning with two named pickleball pros on staff. Their advanced group generally sits at 3.0 and up, which is a refreshingly honest bar to publish.
One thing to verify when you call: their own pickleball page describes four indoor courts in one paragraph and five in the FAQ further down. Both numbers are on the same page. I am not going to pick one for them.
River Valley Club

RVC is the full health-club option — pool, group exercise, CrossFit, the works — with racquets attached. Worth knowing: they publish a dedicated membership tier for Dartmouth and DHMC employees. That single detail tells you more about Upper Valley pickleball than any court count could.
What about outdoor and public courts?
This is where I have to be straight with you rather than pad the page.
Search for outdoor pickleball in Lebanon and you will quickly hit listings for courts at Memorial Park. Follow those listings and most of them resolve to Lebanon, Indiana, which also has a Memorial Park and does have eight outdoor pickleball courts. Meanwhile, the City of Lebanon NH’s own Parks and Facilities and Recreation, Arts & Parks pages do not list pickleball at all in the pages I could read.
So I am not going to tell you Lebanon NH has free public outdoor courts, and I am not going to tell you it doesn’t. What I will tell you is to call Lebanon Recreation, Arts & Parks at (603) 448-5121 before you load the car. This is the same problem I ran into writing up Brunswick, Maine, where directories listed private club courts as public, and Gardner, Massachusetts, where three directories disagreed with each other. Court directories are leads. They are not sources.

That cross-border pull is worth naming, because it works in both directions: if you play in Lebanon you are twenty minutes from Vermont, and Vermont players quietly treat Lebanon as their winter indoor option. Very few court directories model that, because they organize by state line.
